The OBPS is dedicated to supporting those with the interest and need to understand, develop or use ocean practices. We do this through various communication, outreach, capacity development and training activities.
The OBPS engages with the ocean practice community through our bimonthly News Flash, as well as social media (LinkedIn) and designated media channel (YouTube). Through our workshops, we meet every year to discuss topical issues relevant to researchers, policymakers, and managers involved in ocean observation and ocean practices. Our Ocean Practices programme also has a Community of Practice to facilitate virtual discussions about a range of issues and topics related to ocean practices. We have a range of publications, graphics, and other resources that can be used for educational purposes.
